At a French Eatery, Roger Vivier Celebrated the Launch of its Kaleidochoc Collection

From its history with Catherine Deneuve, Christian Dior, and Inès de La Fressange, Roger Vivier is about as French as it gets. So to celebrate the shoe and accessory label’s latest Kaleidochoc collection, Le Mercerie was really the perfect choice. Yesterday at noon, a glamorous group of ladies descended on the SoHo restaurant to fete the luxe collection over a French meal.

Per the label’s creative director, Gherardo Felloni, the new collection—a range of handbags and clutches—is festooned with so many handicrafts (beadwork, embroidery) that the elements evoke the mesmerizing effects of a kaleidoscope. “Each bag is a set of materials and colors created by the layering of embroideries and prints, making them as unique as a kaleidoscope view,” said Felloni. The star of the new campaign is actor Camille Razat, who, after her turn in Emily in Paris, is also about as French as it gets.

Among the group of guests were Violetta Komyshan, Ella Emhoff, Brooke Wise, Carlotta Kohl, Karen Blanchard, and Tina Leung—all in all, a group of women with serious style. Everyone enjoyed a lunch of ratatouille and chocolate mouse at a table adorned with grapefruit-sized peonies and dahlias. Elsewhere in the restaurant, Roger Vivier confections were on display and every place setting was set with an antique kaleidoscope. You could say a glimpse through these brass cylinders was almost as lovely as the Kaleidochoc bags on the arms of everyone present.
