Bon appetit, Saint Tropez!

This summer, Louis Vuitton will open a restaurant in the glamorous French Riviera town known for its jet-set clientele, high-end beach clubs, and buzzy nightlife. (Les Caves du Roy, anyone?)

While the fashion house opened a café atop its Osaka, Japan store in January 2020, this is its first standalone eatery in the world.

The setting is expectedly glamorous, with Vuitton taking over the terrace at the White 1921 Hotel. It’s set right upon Place de Lices, the beating heart of Saint Tropez that’s lined with red-chaired bistros, upscale shops, and, on certain days of the week, a Provencal market selling everything from baguettes to antiques to beach cover-ups.

At the helm of the restaurant will be Michelin-starred chef Mory Sacko, head of MoSuke in Paris. His menu will showcase a blend of African, Japanese, and French contemporary culinary influences—reflecting Saint Tropez’s role as a destination for well-heeled travelers from around the world. For lunch, one dish is a gourmet take on ekiben, a Japanese meal tray commonly served on trains. Dinner service offers everything from eggplant tacos to prime rib to a lighter tapas menu.
